Arizona is more than just a great vacation destination. Arizona has become a year-round living oasis with cities spanning from Tucson to Phoenix and Flagstaff. Surrounded by mountain ranges, Phoenix is known as the “Valley of the Sun”. If you are thinking about a move to Arizona, or already in motion, Angels RE Group can assist with moving advice to help you with the transition to Arizona.
Here are two items to consider when moving to Arizona:
1) TIME OF YEAR for moving should be considered. Moving in the middle of summer is hot, but can reduce your moving costs. There will be less competition for services when the temperature is above 100 degrees. There is always a bigger influx of residents when the weather is cooler, and Arizona certainly sees a lot of seasonal traffic. Also late summer we have monsoons, with frequent afternoon showers, which will complicate your plans for a move. Because Arizona usually has a dry summer, when it does rain, it can result in street and underpass flooding. Early mornings and late evenings will minimize the effects of the heat. A key factor in moving or surviving in AZ will be to drink plenty of water, wherever and whenever!
2) TIME OF DAY is also a consideration when moving to Arizona. There are two interstate highways (Interstate 10 and Interstate 17), as well as numerous state highways (US Route 60 and State Routes 51, 101, 143, 202, respectively) providing access to, through, and around the city. Like any major city, freeway traffic is much heavier during high commute times and during special events.
