Angels RE Group was created by somewhat of a perfect storm. Our team of four professional realtors started to support each other not only in Arizona real estate transactions, but in local Arizona charitable activities as well. We have always given back to our community and have been involved, whether sitting on the board, being a Big Sister, or donating to every cause that we are presented with through our network of family and friends. What we realized is that our clients are as passionate about giving back to our community as we are about our charities! A brilliant idea was naturally formed. We started Angels RE Group. Three Ways Real Estate Philanthropy Works:
1. Angels RE Group created a program called “You Refer, We Donate” which coordinates with local charities to not only spread the good word about the charity, but offer a simple solution to fundraising or donations. If a charity sends a referral, a significant portion of our personal commissions will go directly back to the charity after closing a real estate transaction. 2. Every real estate transaction can be emotional for our clients. We promise to make a donation to the charity of choice for our clients upon closing a transaction. When the client knows we are willing to donate back to something they are passionate about or care about, it puts them at ease knowing we are looking our for their best interest and the transaction becomes more personal for all involved.
3. Clients who work with estate planners understand how just about any type of real estate asset can be donated to a qualified charitable organization, and estate planners say gifts can be structured to provide tax benefits as well as income. Every time shares can be donated! As philanthropic agents, we believe real estate is an untapped source for donations. An estimated $40 trillion in property is privately held, yet only about 2 percent of all contributions each year are real estate gifts, according to Chase V. Magnuson, the president of Real Estate for Charities in Albuquerque, a consulting firm. He says, “real estate donations typically range from $250,000 to $15 million.” It’s time to make more charitable contributions through real estate.
Angels RE Group believes in taking care of our local community, and Arizona real estate is just one avenue to accomplish our goals, alongside our passions for charities.
